A Journal for Tweens & Teens to Cultivate Emotional Intelligence & a Growth Mindset
Does your kid feel like they “aren’t good enough”? Do they struggle with self-regulation?
Unlock your kid’s potential with this dynamic journal which aims to spark a growth mindset and nurture emotional intelligence. For ages 9 – 99.
Negative self-talk is detrimental to young people; it hampers their potential, self-confidence, and self-esteem. Low emotional awareness leads to difficulties in stress management and decision-making. It strains relationships and weakens one’s mental well-being. Cultivating a growth mindset and emotional intelligence helps kids grow academically, socially, and in many other areas.
These skills can serve as a compass for their lives, guiding them through storms and arming them with the ability to conquer challenges, build resilient relationships, and soar with confidence.
- Growth Mindset: This empowering journal helps build a growth mindset through practice in replacing negative self-talk, repeating positive affirmations, self-reflecting, inspirational quotes, and prompts. It will help your kid see challenges not as obstacles but as stepping stones to future possibilities, achievements, and resilience.
- Emotional Intelligence: Nurturing emotional intelligence helps young people be more confident, communicate empathetically, and build unbreakable and harmonious relationships. This journal helps nurture emotional regulation through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-inspired exercises, self-reflection, and quotes.
- Mindfulness and Gratitude are used in this journal as practices to enhance both emotional regulation and a growth mindset. Mindfulness encourages a non-reactive stance toward challenges, helping individuals detach from negative thoughts and emotions that hinder one’s belief in their ability to learn and improve.
Follow along with your kid as they learn how to recognize and manage four basic emotions: Happiness, Sadness, Anger, and Fear.
And they will learn how to replace negative self-talk with positive affirmations, which will aid them in fostering a growth mindset to help them thrive in every avenue of life.

~ An Advantageous Tool for Positive Thinking ~
First thing looking through this journal, I saw so much potential in how it can benefit my child. Included are several positive affirmations and quotes as well as insightful questions that I see can easily help breakdown the way our kids are feeling to better understand their emotions. I also like that at times my child is not feeling in the mood to write, so instead there are several coloring pages he can choose to do instead if he chooses and enjoy the benefits from doing that. Definitely would recommend!

~ Thoughtful, Fun Approach to Healthy Emotions ~
At first this journal was purchased for my oldest child to help her with her emotions. I found that as we went through it together that it was helping me as well. The quotes are fun, insightful and helpful. The part I enjoy about this is watching my daughter choose to write one day and color another, depending on her mood. Working through this journal individually and then sharing as a family has improved our communication of emotions in our home. I recommend giving it a try. Its not just for the kids.

~ A journal for people who don’t like to write ~
What a great idea to incorporate drawing and coloring into self reflection and writing. Bundle it with some colored pencils and you’ve got a great holiday gift. The inspirational quotes are wide ranging from Jack Sparrow to the Dalai Lama. I look forward to using this journal individually as well as a bonding with my family. I highly recommended it.

~ Already helping my son ~
This journal has been guiding my son through positive affirmations. I love how there are very few repetitive pages and many opportunities to use his drawing skills. He is cycling through the various exercises and seems to be engaged. This book has condensed a wealth of wisdom on emotional intelligence and is helping him to think and speak more positively about himself.
